First Varsity Eight (April 11)

Big Ten Boat of the Week -- The University of Michigan Rowing program's first varsity eight (1V8) boat was rewarded following a strong performance at the Big Ten Invitational last weekend. The boat headlined a fast weekend for the Wolverines in Sarasota. On Friday, the 1V8 placed second in the morning session, four seconds behind Stanford, and first in the afternoon session, ahead of Duke, Iowa, and UCLA. In the Saturday set of races, U-M timed a season-best 6:09.274.
