Notes
• This is the first of two meetings between the Wolverines and Spartans over the next two and a half weeks. MSU visits Crisler Center on Saturday, Feb. 17. In each of the last four seasons, Michigan and Michigan State have split its home-and-home series -- each has won its home games, four straight for U-M at Crisler and five straight for MSU at the Breslin Center.
• U-M's last win at the Breslin Center was Jan. 13, 2018 when the unranked Wolverines topped the fourth-ranked Spartans 82-72. The Maize and Blue was led by Moritz Wagner's 27 points, while Zavier Simpson had 16 and five assists.
• In five of its last seven games, Michigan has had 10 turnovers or fewer, including a season-low seven at No. 2 Purdue (Jan. 23).
• U-M is third in the Big Ten with 8.8 three-pointers per game. The Wolverines have had nine-plus long-range baskets in 12 games, with seven of 10-plus, including a season-high 13 at Oregon (Dec. 2) and against McNeese (Dec. 29).
• Tray Jackson made his return after missing U-M's last four games after suffering a nose injury at Penn State (Jan. 7). After having a minor procedure, he wore a protective mask in his return against Iowa (Jan. 27) and finished with five points in four minutes of action.
• With his 13th multi-three point game against Iowa, Terrance Williams II leads U-M with 42 total long-range buckets. His current total surpassed his career total over his three prior seasons (38).
• In his last six games, Nimari Burnett has nearly half of his season assists, dishing 23 of his 55 total, including a career-best six at Penn State (Jan. 7).
• Olivier Nkamhoua's 13-point, six-rebound game against Iowa helped him produce his 16th game with double-digit points and five-plus assists. He averages career bests with 16.5 points and 7.1 rebounds.
• Nkamhoua had a career-best five blocks against Iowa. He is the second Wolverine this season to reach five swats in a game after Tarris Reed Jr. had a career-best five against Minnesota (Jan. 4).
• Missing the first 15 games due to a right-knee injury, Jace Howard returned against Ohio State (Jan. 15), tying his career best with three rebounds. He followed scoring a career-best seven points at No. 2 Purdue (Jan. 23) and knocking down a long-range bucket against the Boilermakers and Iowa (Jan. 27).
• After going 3-for-3 against Iowa, Will Tschetter continues to shoot above 60 percent from the field (62.7). With another long-range bucket, he is near that mark for three-pointers (19-for-32, 59.4 percent).
