Notes
• Michigan notched its sixth win of the season with a 1-0 triumph over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend, Ind. The victory marked the first over Notre Dame since the 2019 season.Â
• Senior Hayden Evans earned his second start of the season in goal against Notre Dame and tallied eight saves, which tie his career high. Evans notched a clean sheet and his second win of the season.
• Michigan ranks fourth in the conference with scoring offense with 19 goals and fourth in goal difference with a four-goal advantage. The Wolverines have scored first in 10 of 11 matches and have yet to lose when taking the lead first.
• Bryce Blevins scored his fourth goal of the season to provide the decisive advantage against Notre Dame. The graduate student has set a new career high for single-season assists and points in his final year in Ann Arbor.
• Beto Soto assisted on Blevins' goal for his ninth helper of the season. Soto ranks second in the nation in assists per game at 0.82. The graduate student has tallied at least one point in 10 consecutive matches.
• Michigan has drawn, 1-1, in each of its last two nationally televised games against Washington and Rutgers, respectively.
• Michigan's defense bounced back after surrendering six goals to Ohio State and shut out Notre Dame to claim its third win by one goal in 2024. U-M has four shutout wins this season and its first clean sheet since the win over Detroit Mercy on Sept. 6.
• Michigan and Indiana will meet for the 33rd time in series history. The two teams met twice last season with the Hoosiers winning the most recent meeting, 4-3, in the semifinal round of the Big Ten Tournament. IU captured the Big Ten regular-season and tournament championships last season.
• U-M and Northwestern will cross paths for 31st time. Like Indiana, Michigan played the Wildcats twice in 2023 and took both matchups including a gritty 1-0 win in the Big Ten Tournament.
