
Wolverines to Split Between Bradley Pink Classic, Wisconsin Pre-Nationals

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 14-ranked University of Michigan men's cross country team will split this weekend's action across two meets. On Friday (Oct. 18) at 11 a.m. CDT, the Wolverines will compete at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill at the Newman Golf Course. On Saturday (Oct. 19) at 10 a.m. CDT, U-M will take part in the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals at the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wis.
Notes
• Eight Wolverines are set to run eight kilometers on Friday in Illinois. The men's white race at the Bradley Pink Classic will take place at 1:30 p.m. CDT while the men's red race will begin at 3 p.m. CDT.
• Michigan will run 10 at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals, with the 8K "A" Race set for 11:30 a.m. CDT.
• The Maize and Blue continues to climb in the rankings, moving up one spot to No. 14 in the USTFCCCA Coaches Poll. The team also moved up a spot in the Regional Rankings to No. 3 behind Notre Dame and Wisconsin.
• U-M finished first its last time out at the Live in Lou Classic on Oct. 5, with Jack Kelke's ninth-place finish (24:04.3) leading the team's effort. Kelke's personal best performance shaved more than 90 seconds off his previous best.
• The second of the two Wolverines to finish in the top 10 was Jozef Meyers, who finished 10th with a time of 24:09.6, while Anthony Hancock earned a 14th-place finish (24:11.6).
• Zach Stewart placed 18th (24:16.6) and Peter Baracco placed 23rd with a personal-best time of 24:22.1. Kyler McNatt earned a 26th-place finish with a personal time of 24:26.1 to shave more than two minutes off his previous best.
• The team will have one more regular season meet before the Big Ten Championships, returning home for the EMU Fall Classic on Oct. 25 in Dexter, Mich.
