• Michael Hage leads the team and the nation's freshmen in scoring with four points. He has a goal and three assists, factoring into the first four Michigan goals during the season-opening weekend versus Minnesota State.
• Sophomore Nick Moldenhauer is the other Wolverine with multiple points (two). Eight other players made their way onto the scoresheet last weekend.
• Goaltending duties were split last weekend, with freshman Cameron Korpi earning the win in his collegiate debut on Saturday, stopping 24 shots in a 4-1 win. Logan Stein played Friday and shouldered the loss with 18 saves.
• The centers are off to a hot start with Mark Estapa leading the way having won 70 percent of his faceoffs. T.J. Hughes is at 67.7 percent and Hage is at 61.5 percent.
• The Wolverines penalty kill is 7-for-7 this season. They have allowed just five shots while being down a skater.
• Michigan scored the first goal in both games this season, going 17-10-2 last year when scoring the game's first goal.
• Michigan leads 6-0-1 in the all-time series against Arizona State since the programs first met in 2016. That first meeting was at Gila River Center in Glendale, Ariz., on Nov. 4, 2016. During the 2020-21 season, Arizona played against Big Ten teams as competition was limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Wolverines went 3-0-1 in those outings.
• This series will mark the first for Tim Lovell against his former school. Lovell was a Sun Devil for three seasons before transferring to Michigan for his fifth season.
