
Wolverines to Host RedHawks in Fort Myers Tipoff Campus Matchup

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team (2-1) continues its three-game homestand hosting Miami (Ohio) on Monday (Nov. 18) at Crisler Center as part of the Fort Myers Tipoff. Opening tip is scheduled for 6:01 p.m. on Big Ten Network.

• The Wolverines are among four teams in the Beach Division of the Fort Myers Tipoff along with South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Xavier. The RedHawks are in the Palms Division with Jacksonville, Mercer, and Siena. All eight teams will head to Fort Myers, Fla., and Suncoast Credit Union Arena during Thanksgiving week (Nov. 25-27) for bracket play.
• Miami (Ohio) comes to Crisler Center after starting 2-1 to start the 2024-25 season. After an opening 77-63 win at Appalachian State, the RedHawks fell to Wright State (81-68) in their home opener. Miami bounced back with an 88-70 win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Tuesday (Nov. 12).
• Tre Donaldson has come out of the gates quarterbacking the Wolverine offense and controlling Dusty May's game plan. With three straight double-figure games, he is averaging 13 points per game. He is also adding 4.7 assists, four rebounds and is shooting 54.5 percent from long range (6-for-11).
• In his first game for the Wolverines against Cleveland State, Donaldson scored a career-best 16 points with a career-best-tying seven assists (no turnovers).
• He played a career-high 32 minutes vs. Wake Forest and nearly recorded his first double-double with 10 points and a career-best nine rebounds. He added his second career block.
• Danny Wolf has two double-doubles in Michigan's first three games -- Cleveland State (19 points, 13 rebounds) and TCU (14 points, 14 rebounds). He has 16 in his career.
• Sam Walters has attempted 14 shots in three games, 12 from long range. He is shooting 58.3 percent (7-for-12) from deep.
• Vladislav Goldin (1,199) needs one point to reach 1,200 for his career. With one U-M win (99), he will reach 100. Goldin is also three blocks (147) from 150 in his career and is 20 blocks shy of 700 (680).
• Rubin Jones (918) needs 82 points to reach 1,000 for his career.
• Michigan is 5-1 all-time against Miami. This will be the first matchup between the teams in 18 years, with the last game played in Oxford at Millett Hall -- a 62-56 win for the Wolverines (Dec. 7, 2006)
