WACO, Texas -- Gavin Young and Benjamin Kittay of the University of Michigan men's tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship following a walkover on Friday afternoon (Nov. 22) at the Hurd Tennis Center. Aadarsh Tripathi and Alexander Hoogmartens of UCLA did not compete due to injury.
Young and Kittay are the second Wolverine pair to advance to the semifinals and the first since 1975 when Jerry Karzen and Eric Friedler advanced to the semifinals before falling.
They will face the winner of Luciano Tacchi and Luca Pow (Wake Forest) and Youcef Rihane and Alex Bulte (Florida State) on Saturday (Nov. 23) at 1:30 p.m. CST.
