Women's Distance Crew to Open Season at GVSU Holiday Open

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will send its distance squad to Allendale, Mich., to kick off the indoor season at Grand Valley State's GVSU Holiday Open on Friday (Dec. 6) at 2:34 p.m. inside the Kelly Family Sports Center.
Notes
• U-M will send 14 Wolverines from the distance squad to the meet in their first test of the indoor season.
• Graduate student Lucy Petee will return to the lineup, along with senior Catrin Koselka, junior Mara Longenecker, junior Ainsley Workman, and sophomore Katie Venhuizen.
• The distance squad added 12 freshmen to the roster, with eight set to make their debuts for the Maize and Blue. Sophomore Adele Havlick is also scheduled to make her indoor debut.
• Alexandra Brigham will open the day with Heat 2 of the 3,000-meter run at 2:34 p.m., while the team will close out the day with the 4x400-meter relay at 7:25 p.m.
