ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's gymnastics team kicked off the 2025 schedule with its annual Maize and Blue intrasquad meet on Saturday (Dec. 7) at Cliff Keen Arena, with Blue defeating Maize 194.300-191.100. The win marks back-to-back victories for Blue.
The meet consisted of an alternating-team format, with both teams competing on the same event in rotating fashion. Judges counted three scores on four events, with as many as five gymnasts per team competing on each apparatus. Still rings and high bar were not contested due to equipment malfunctions.
Maize held the lead through the first three events, leading by 3.750 points heading into the final rotation. Junior Landen Blixt took home two event titles in the floor exercise and vault, while senior Logan McKeown won on parallel bars and freshman Aaronson Mansberger won the pommel horse. Blixt was the lone Wolverine to compete in all four events.
