
Eight Divers to Represent U-M at NCAA Zone C Diving Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Eight divers from the University of Michigan swimming and diving team will travel to Louisville, Ky., for the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, Thursday through Saturday (March 14-16) at Ralph Wright Natatorium, looking to earn the right to compete at the NCAA Championships.
Notes
• Thursday (March 14) will feature the women's one-meter and men's three-meter dives starting at 1 p.m. The women will transition to the three-meter springboard while the men compete on the one-meter board on Friday (March 15) at 1 p.m. Platform diving will close out the meet on Saturday (march 16) with the women getting started at 11 a.m. and the men battling at 2 p.m.
• Both the men and women are vying for seven qualifying spots in the one-meter dive. In the three-meter dive, 10 spots are available for the men while 11 tickets will be punched for the women. The men will battle for eight bids in the platform dive, and the women will look to secure one of 11 spots.
• Three Michigan men will head to Louisville, including junior Cameron Gammage, who owns a top one-meter score of 380.85 which ranks eighth in the conference. He also posted zone qualifying marks in the three-meter and platform dives with scores of 385.95 and 313.95, respectively. Gammage earned a new season-best mark in the platform event last time out at the Big Ten Championships.
• Joining Gammage are freshman Logan Hepner and junior Kameron Liberman. Hepner will be making his zone championships debut following a strong first-year campaign. Hepner is second on the team in the one-meter dive with a season-best score of 331.80. Liberman checks in at second on the roster in the platform dive with a score of 300.75.
• On the women's side, five Wolverines will be making the trip to Kentucky. Evie Johnson leads the way in the one-meter dive with a score of 298.13. Johnson also paces the Maize and Blue in the platform event with a top score of 228.30.
• Kiarra Milligan put together a strong showing at the Big Ten Championships, qualifying for a consolation final in all three events. Milligan finished 10th in the one-meter dive and 12th and 16th in the three-meter and platform dives, respectively. Milligan's three-meter score of 334.75 leads the team.
• Rounding out the women's traveling roster is Chrismon Clark, Alex Mercier and Taylor Peters. Clark and Peters are zone championships veterans while the freshman Mercier will be making her first trip to the qualifying meet. Clark earned the right to compete in the one-meter and three-meter dives. Mercier qualified for the three-meter event, and Peters posted qualifying marks in all three dives.
