
U-M to Head to Lonestar State for Clyde Hart Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field program will continue its outdoor road stretch at the Clyde Hart Invitational hosted by Baylor on Friday and Saturday (March 22-23). Field action will begin at 2 p.m. CT on Friday and 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, with track action beginning at 7:10 p.m. CT on Friday and 2:40 p.m. CT on Saturday.
Notes
• The Wolverines opened the outdoor season at the USF Alumni Invitational last weekend, with the throws leading the team's performance.
• Zane Forist won the discus with a throw if 55.61m (182 feet, 5 inches) and Eli Winter finished ninth (50.78m/166 feet, 7 inches). Forist's mark is a personal best and the No. 5 mark in program history.
• In the hammer throw, Winter threw a career-best 66.92m (219 feet, 6 inches) for the win and the No. 3 mark in program history while Aiden Felty threw a career-best mark of 17.78m (58 feet, 4 inches) in the shot put for the No. 10 Michigan mark.
• Tianhao Wei also saw a career best, jumping 7.26m (23 feet, 10 inches) to finish fourth.
• The distance runners also had solid performances as Riley Flemington (1:51.39) and Kepler Huntress (1:52.06) finished 3-4.
• Flemington also earned a fifth-place finish in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:47.87 while Michael Hancock finished eighth with a time of 3:51.53. Peter Baracco placed 12th (3:52.89) and Oli Raimond placed 16th (3:54.18).
• Jozef Meyers (5:48.12) and Caleb Jarema (5:48.12) finished 1-2 in the 2,000-meter steeplechase, with Meyers finishing just 0.004 seconds ahead of Jarema. Jack Spamer also competed in the event, finishing seventh with a time of 5:56.90.
