
Steslicki Earns Top-10 U-M Hammer Throw Mark on Day 1 at Clyde Hart Invitational

WACO, Texas -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team wrapped up the first day of competition at the Clyde Hart Invitational on Friday (March 22).
Jake Steslicki made his outdoor debut in Maize and Blue in the hammer throw, finishing seventh with a mark of 58.49m (191-10). Steslicki's mark is the No. 10 mark in program history. Zane Forist finished second in the discus throw, throwing for 55.40m (181-9).
Dubem Amene finished fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.20.
Freshman Camden Law won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:50.88, while Myles Liss-Riordan finished 13th (4:01.31).
In the pole vault, Cole Sheldon cleared a season-best 4.75m (15-7) to finish ninth. Jake Wall finished fourth in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 7.40m (24-3.5). Wall's mark is the No. 24 mark in the NCAA.
The Wolverines will close out the weekend with day two of the Clyde Hart Invitational on Saturday, March 23 at 2:30 p.m. (CT).
