
Maize and Blue to Split Weekend at Stanford, LSU

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field program will split the weekend between two meets -- heading to Palo Alto, Calif., for the Stanford Invitational Friday (March 29) and Baton Rouge, La., for the Battle on the Bayou, hosted by LSU Friday-Saturday, March 29-30.
Notes
• U-M will send 11 Wolverines for the distance squad to the Stanford Invitational while the rest of the team will compete at LSU. Action at Stanford is set to begin at 9 a.m. PT with the first section of the 5,000-meter run. At LSU, field competition is slated for 12:30 p.m. CT and 10 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday, respectively, with track action set for 5:25 p.m. CT and 12:20 p.m. CT.
• The Maize and Blue has been solid through the first two weekends of outdoor competition, competing at the USF Alumni Invitational and the Clyde Hart Classic hosted by Baylor to open the season.
• Last weekend in Waco, Texas, Aiden Felty saw a personal-best mark in the shot put for the second straight week, throwing for 18.38m (60-3.75). Felty's mark ranks No. 8 in program history and No. 13 in the NCAA.
• Jake Steslicki made his outdoor debut in the hammer throw, finishing seventh with a mark of 58.49m (191-10). Steslicki secured the No. 10 mark in program history.
• Tianhao Wei posted a personal best and finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.98m (49 feet, 1.75 inches), the No. 25 mark in the NCAA. Wei's mark is 0.03m shy of cracking the top 10 in U-M program history.
• The Wolverines went 1-3-5 in the 800-meter run, with Camden Law finishing first (1:50.99), Henry Johnson finishing third (1:51.15) and Kepler Huntress finishing fifth (1:52.77).
• In the pole vault, Cole Sheldon cleared a season-best 4.75m (15-7) to finish ninth. Jake Wall finished fourth in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 7.40m (24-3.5).
