ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan field hockey program announced its 2024 schedule Friday (June 14), featuring a challenging 16-game regular-season slate, including 10 home games at Phyllis Ocker Field. The Wolverines also will host the 2024 NCAA Championship, featuring semifinal and title games, on Friday and Sunday, Nov. 22-24.
Michigan will face six teams that participated in last season's NCAA Tournament, including two Final Four participants in NCAA champion North Carolina and Northwestern. U-M again will open the season against UNC and Wake Forest at the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge (Aug. 30-Sept. 1), which returns to Ocker Field for the first time in five seasons.
The Wolverines will open Big Ten Conference play at in-state rival Michigan State on Sunday, Sept. 22, before hosting four conference matches at Ocker Field, welcoming Ohio State (Oct. 6), Rutgers (Oct. 11), Northwestern (Oct. 25) and Indiana (Oct. 27). This season, Michigan will host its most home games since similarly hosting 10 in 2017.
Michigan will host the NCAA Field Hockey Championship for the third time in program history. The Wolverines previously welcomed the semifinals and championship game to Ocker in 2015 and 2021 and served as a regional host for the NCAA first and second rounds on five occasions (2001, '04, '07, '17, '21).
U-M has reached the NCAA semifinals twice since 2017 and captured the NCAA title in 2001 -- the first national championship for a women's program at Michigan.
Ticket Information: Admission at Ocker Field is free for all regular-season home games. NCAA Tournament tickets will go on sale this fall. Details will be announced at a later date.
