
Wolverines Add Grabovskaia to 2024-25 Roster

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Women's Basketball Coach Kim Barnes Arico announced the addition of 6-foot-5 center Iuliia Grabovskaia to the University of Michigan women's basketball program on Tuesday (July 9). Grabovskaia will have two years of eligibility remaining.
"Iuliia is an incredible addition to our program," Barnes Arico said. "She brings a mix of size and experience to our lineup that will help us. I know how excited she is for the opportunity to compete for and represent the University of Michigan."
Grabovskaia spent last season at Middle Tennessee State, appearing in 34 games for the Blue Raiders while averaging 3.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 9.8 minutes per game. Grabovskaia tallied a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds against UTEP (Jan. 18). She scored in double figures three times, highlighted by a 14-point, five-rebound performance against UTEP in the Conference USA Tournament quarterfinals.
She also competed with Russia in the FIBA U20 Women's European Challengers in 2021, playing five games with her national team. She averaged 8.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 20.8 minutes per game.
Grabovskaia is a native of Rostov-on-Don, Russia, attending Rostov Regional School of Olympic Reserve prior to coming to the States.
