
U-M to Trek to Purdue for Saturday Matinee

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 25-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team (10-5, 1-3 Big Ten) will hit the road this weekend, heading to Purdue (7-8, 0-4 Big Ten) to face the Boilermakers on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 11) at 2 p.m.

• Michigan is out to snap a three-game losing streak after playing three straight games against top-10 teams -- No. 4 USC, No. 1 UCLA and No. 9 Ohio State. It is the first time Michigan has lost three straight since the 2015-16 season.
• The game marks a homecoming for Indiana native Alyssa Crockett, who grew up in Westfield. It is Michigan's only trip to the Hoosier state during the regular season, with the 2025 Big Ten Tournament set for Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
• This is the lone meeting between Michigan and Purdue this season. U-M has won five straight in the series against the Boilermakers after recording a 64-60 win at Crisler to conclude the regular season last year.
• U-M is looking for its first Big Ten road win of the season after dropping both games on the West Coast.
• The Wolverines enter the contest fourth in the Big Ten in rebounding margin at +10.1 as one four schools with a double-digit positive margin. Purdue is last in the league in rebounding margin at -2.1. Michigan has four players averaging at least 5.0 rebounds per game as the Wolverines are grabbing 41.7 caroms per contest.
• Greta Kampschroeder has scored in double figures in three of Michigan's last four games after turning in 13 points against Ohio State (Jan. 8). She is up to 7.5 points per game while playing 24.2 minutes per game. She is one of four Wolverines to start all 15 games this season.
• Michigan features a trio of double-figure scorers in Syla Swords (16.2), Olivia Olson (15.7) and Jordan Hobbs (13.3).
• The Wolverines are the only school in the Big Ten to have two freshmen ranked in the top 20 of scoring in the conference in Swords (11th) and Olson (13th).
• The Wolverines play both games at home next week, beginning with hosting Washington on Wednesday evening (Jan. 15) at 7 p.m.
