ANN ARBOR, Mich.-- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving program recorded its third win of the season over Northwestern on Saturday (Oct. 25), beating the Wildcats, 186-114, at Canham Natatorium.
Michigan picked up an early win in the first event of the meet, with the team of Eitan Ben-Shitrit, Luka Mladenovic, Tyler Ray and Ole Eidam placing first in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:06.18
Antoine Sauve picked up the first Wolverine win in the individual section of the meet with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle, putting up a 1:34.12. Later, Sauve added another individual win in the 500-yard freestyle, putting up a time of 4:20.74.
Ray also ended the meet with two wins in the individual section, with victories in the 100 and 200-yard butterfly with times of 45.75 and 1:42.59, respectively.
Eidam joined the multiple-victory club in this contest, winning both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle with times of 19.77 and 43.14 seconds, respectively.
In the 200-yard backstroke, it was Ben-Shitrit pulling off the victory with a time of 1:42.92
Mladenovic became the fourth member of the 400-yard medley team to win an individual event, claiming victory in the 200-yard breaststroke, putting up a time of 1:53.88
To close out the meet, the Wolverines won the 200-yard freestyle relay, with the team of Eidam, Ray, Colin Geer and Mladenovic combining for a time of 1:18.04
The Wolverines will host Oakland and Pittsburgh at the Canham Natatorium on Friday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m.
