ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Women's Basketball Coach Kim Barnes Arico announced the signing of Devin Cosgriff to a scholarship agreement on Wednesday (Nov. 12). Cosgriff is a four-star recruit and ranked No. 56 in the class of 2026 by ESPN.
"We are so excited to add a player and a person like Devin to our program," Barnes Arico said. "She is one of the toughest kids I have watched play for the last few years. She is willing to defend, she's willing to rebound, she has a great mid-range game and she's just a winner. She plays in programs that win; she plays for a tremendous high school coach and a tremendous AAU program. I think adding her to our program here is just going to help us be a better team. Anytime we add someone with her grit, tenacity and winning attitude, we add something special."
"I chose the University of Michigan because of its amazing coaching staff, the family atmosphere and, of course, because it's Michigan!", Cosgriff said. "They have believed in me for years, and that loyalty has meant everything. From the very beginning, I felt like part of something bigger. The combination of elite academics, a championship culture and people who truly care made Michigan feel like home."
Ranked No. 56 by ESPN, Cosgriff committed to Michigan back in July. A 5-10 guard from Livermore, Calif., Cosgriff is also a four-star recruit by 247Sports. She helped Archbishop Mitty to the 2025 NorCal, CCS and WCal titles as a junior. Mitty finished runner-up in the 2025 CIF Basketball Championships.
She is a three-time first team all-league mention, earning it in the West Alameda County Conference, Foothill League (2023, 2024) and in 2025 by the West Catholic Athletic League. Cosgriff has been recognized as a three-time CIF All-State honoree from CalHiSports. In 2023, she was ranked as the No. 1 freshman in California by Prep Girls Hoops. She enters her senior season at Mitty as the No. 2 five-star prospect in the 2026 NorCal rankings by On3.
She has experience with USA Basketball, attending the inaugural USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team April minicamp in Dallas and the USA Women's U16 National Team trials in 2023. In 2024, she went to the 2024 USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team minicamp in Portland, Ore.
Cosgriff played AAU with Jason Kidd Select.
