
U-M to Face Oakland and Pittsburgh in Friday Dual

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team (4-0, 3-0 Big Ten) will continue its homestand with a matchup against Oakland and Pittsburgh on Friday (Nov. 7) at 3 p.m. in Canham Natatorium. The meet will be streamed on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in Big Ten action on Oct. 25 after defeating Northwestern, 205-92, and No. 23 UCLA, 193-103, inside Canham Natatorium.
• Bella Sims shined for the Maize and Blue in the two wins and was named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 29. Sims leads the nation in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 49.87 and ranks second in the country in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.43).
• Hannah Bellard checks in at third in the NCAA in the 200-yard butterfly after clocking a 1:54.07 against Northwestern and UCLA. Bellard also ranks fifth nationally in the 400-yard IM with a mark of 4:07.88.
• The 400-yard medley relay team of Stephanie Balduccini, Brady Kendall, Letitia Sim and Sims broke the school record with a time of 3:26.82, a mark that currently ranks second in the nation.
• Brady Kendall owns a season-best time of 21.74 in the 50-yard freestyle, ranking seventh in the country and first in the Big Ten.
• Michigan will face Oakland for the 21st time, leading the all-time series 19-1.
• U-M and Pittsburgh will meet for the seventh time, with Michigan holding a 4-3 edge in the series.
• Following Friday's meet, the Wolverines will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., for the CSCAA Dual Meet Challenge on Nov. 20-23.
