
Michigan to Open Season at Notre Dame, Boston U.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team will compete across a pair of sites to open its indoor season. On Friday (Dec. 5), a group of Wolverines will head to South Bend, Ind., for the Blue and Gold Invitational at the Loftus Sports Center. On Saturday (Dec. 6), another U-M contingent will compete at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at the Boston U. Track and Tennis Center.
Notes
• Michigan will send five sprinters and eight distance runners across both sites.
• Caleb Jarema, Nathan Lopez, Trent McFarland, Luke Venhuizen and Krish Gupta are among the Wolverines set to return to the lineup.
• Marcus Reilly will open competition at the Blue and Gold Invitational in the 1,000-meter run at 3:05 p.m., while Riley Flemington will close the day in the 3,000-meter run at 5:50 p.m.
• In Boston, Mass., Camden Law will run in the mile at 12:20 p.m., McFarland will race the 3,000-meter run at 1:40 p.m. and Jarema, Lopez, Venhuizen and Kyler McNatt are scheduled for the 5,000-meter run beginning at 7:15 p.m.
• Freshmen Malachi Mosley and Caleb Root, sophomores Brayden Kennedy and Reilly and transfer Jake Machiniak are expected to make their Maize and Blue debuts.
