After a spring-opening 292 in Sunday's (Feb. 9) first round, U-M found itself eighth. Coming back Monday morning (Feb. 10), Yuqi Liu's 68 (-4) and a second even-par 72 from Dean Muratore helped the Maize and Blue card a 286 (-2) second-round tally and climb three positions to sit fifth after 36 holes with a 578 total.
With the field continuing play on Monday afternoon to help speed up Tuesday's final round, the Wolverines finished about nine holes. Returning to the course, U-M again rallied with 16 birdies and four eagles to tally a season-low 275 (-13) to give the Wolverines their fifth top-five finish in seven events.
