April 1 -- Michigan 2V4 Boat
Big Ten Boat of the Week
• Michigan's 2V4 boat was one of four crews to earn Big Ten Boat of the Week honors for week three of the spring rowing season.
• In the morning session of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge (March 29), the U-M 2V4 timed 7:53.9 to claim victory over Oklahoma by 15.4 seconds.
• The boat also won its afternoon race, beating No. 13-ranked Virginia with a time of 8:02.2 (+7.8).
• The Wolverines' 2V4 included Emma Kerkau, Sinéad Erasmus, Maddy Matos, Megan Higley and Isabela Pimentel (coxswain).
March 25 -- Michigan 1V4 Boat
Big Ten 1V4 Boat of the Week
• Michigan's 1V4 boat was one of four crews to earn Big Ten Boat of the Week honors for week two of the spring rowing season.
• The boat posted a first-place morning finish over No. 10 Duke and No. 11 Syracuse with a time of 7:22.8 (+2.94) and a second-place afternoon result against No. 6 Yale (7:10.5, -3.7).
• This marks the first Boat of the Week honor U-M has received since its 1V8 a year ago (April 2, 2024) at the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
• Athletes who contributed to the boat across the two sessions included Leah Miller, Madeson Scott, Jana Peachey, Emma Kerkau, Madeleine Lauriault and Talia Daft (coxswain).
Feb. 26 -- Katie Easton
CRCA Athletes to Watch
» Katie Easton has been named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Athletes to Watch List for the second time in her career (2024).
» A two-time second-team All-American (2023-24), Easton has rowed in U-M's 1V8 for all three postseasons during her career.
» A key contributor to Michigan's back-to-back Big Ten Championship-winning teams (2023-24), she was first-team All-Big Ten in both championships.
» Melbourne, Australia, native, and returning team captain who is poised for a big senior season with the Maize and Blue.
