
U-M to Open Big Ten Play with Road Test at No. 1 Indiana

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team (3-0-2) will begin its conference schedule with a trip to Bloomington, Ind., to face No. 1-ranked Indiana (5-0-1) on Saturday (Sept. 13) at 8 p.m. at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
Notes
• Michigan enters Big Ten play with an undefeated record of 3-0-2, most recently drawing with Oakland on Sept. 5.
• After missing two seasons, forward Kyle Pierson tallied his first career goal and assist against the Golden Grizzlies. Sophomore Michael Ramirez scored his first career goal in the draw with Oakland.
• Nicholas Cassiday logged his first assist of the season on Pierson's goal, while Nolan Miller recorded the first helper of his career on Ramirez's marker.
• Six Wolverines have registered three or more points, with Shuma Sasaki leading the way with five. Pierson and Ramirez both raised their totals to three after their goals on Sept. 5.
• Michigan will face the nation's top-ranked team for the second consecutive season. The Wolverines take on a No. 1-ranked Indiana side for just the second time in program history, having previously drawn the Hoosiers in 2017.
• Michigan has allowed the fewest shots in the Big Ten, conceding just 26 total attempts through five matches.
• The Wolverines and Hoosiers will meet for the 35th time in program history, the most against any conference opponent. Michigan won the most recent matchup, defeating Indiana 1-0 in the quarterfinal round of the 2024 Big Ten Tournament.
• Michigan will close out its three-game road swing on Sept. 20 with a trip to Seattle, Wash., for a matchup against Washington.
