BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The University of Michigan men's tennis doubles pairs stayed hot winning both matches on Day 2 of the Florida Hidden Duals at the Evert Tennis Academy on Saturday (Jan. 10).
The No. 7-ranked doubles pair of Max Dahlin and Bjorn Swenson earned a statement victory, knocking off the No. 6-ranked duo of Henry Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundorn of Florida, 6-4. The win marked the pair's second victory of the weekend.
Freshman Pierce Shaya and senior Nicholas Steiglehner also remained unbeaten at the event, improving to 2-0 with a 6-3 win over Illinois' William Mroz and Zach Viiala.
In singles action, Swenson secured his first win of the spring campaign with a straight-sets victory over Illinois' Gabriel Debru, 6-1, 7-5.
Day three of the Florida Hidden Duals begins Sunday (Jan. 11) at 10 a.m., with Michigan facing Clemson.
