
Wolverines Set for Rivalry Dual at No. 14 Ohio State

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 4-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to face off against 14th-ranked Ohio State (1-1, 0-0 Big Ten) on Saturday (Jan. 17) at noon. The meet will take place at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion and will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan continues the winter leg of its schedule after a narrow 154-146 victory over 10th-ranked Indiana 154-146 last Friday (Jan. 9). The win continues U-M's undefeated run past the midway point of the 2025-26 season.
• In Friday's win, Hannah Bellard set a new conference record in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:50.72 while also picking up a win in the 500-yard freestyle. She now holds the top time in the nation in the 200 fly. Bellard earned the Big Ten Women's Swimmer of the Week honor for her efforts.
• Letitia Sim picked up three individual wins on Friday, placing first in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, and winning the 200-yard IM. Sim holds the conference-best time in the 200 breast, and the second-best time in the 100 breast.
• Bella Sims picked up another win in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.35 seconds. She holds the second-best time in the nation in that event.
• Rebecca Diaconescu won the 1,000 free on Friday with a 9:42.96 and holds a top-four time in the Big Ten.
• Brady Kendall added two important second-place finishes to secure the close win, putting up a 21.93 in the 50 free, and a 52.8 in the 100 fly. Her times in both of those events rank in the top two in the conference.
• U-M will face rival Ohio State for the 36th time in program history, with the Maize and Blue dominating the all-time series 28-7; however, U-M has dropped three of the last four meets to the Buckeyes.
