
U-M to Meet Harvard for Sunday Match in Cambridge

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's tennis team (1-2) will travel to Cambridge, Mass., for a match with Harvard (1-3) on Sunday (Feb. 1) at noon. Live video and scoring will be available from Harvard's Beren Tennis Center.
Notes
• Michigan is 1-2 on the season after splitting its matches at the ITA Kick-Off. The Wolverines defeated Cornell in the first round before falling to No. 2-ranked Virginia in the championship match.
• Harvard is 1-3 with its lone win before over Michigan State at its ITA Kick-Off. The team has losses to Clemson, Memphis and Middle Tennessee. The Crimson will take on Purdue on Friday (Jan. 30) prior to the match with the Wolverines.
• Michigan holds an 8-2 advantage in the series with Harvard, including a 4-3 decision in Ann Arbor last February. The teams have met every year since 2022, with each program grabbing two wins.
• Tennisrecruiting.com released its top recruiting classes for 2026 and Michigan is ranked No. 4. This is the first time since 2018 that Michigan has had a top-five class.
• Max Dahlin is 2-1 at No. 1 singles and leads the team in singles wins, sporting an 11-3 mark. He is 5-2 against ranked opponents this year.
• Bjorn Swenson and Max Dahlin are ranked No. 7 in doubles with an 8-2 mark. The duo reached the NCAA Quarterfinals this fall to earn All-America honors. So far this spring, the duo is 1-1.
• Swenson and Nicholas Steiglehner are both one singles match away from their 10th of the season. Each reached the 50-win mark of their careers this season.
• Michigan's home opener is set for Saturday (Feb. 7) when the Wolverines will host Columbia, followed on Sunday (Feb. 8) against Tennessee. Both matches will be at noon at the Varsity Tennis Center.
