
Michigan to Travel West to Take On No. 4 UCLA

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 9-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team (5-2, 2-2 Big Ten) travels to No. 4 UCLA (8-2, 4-0 Big Ten) for a 4 p.m. PT meet on Saturday (Feb. 14) at Pauley Pavilion. The meet will be streamed live on B1G+.

• Michigan enters week seven of the season as the No. 9-ranked team in the nation and the No. 3 balance beam team in the country, having moved up two spots in the beam rankings after posting the third-highest beam score in program history. The Wolverines rank inside the top 15 on all four events, coming in at No. 3 on beam, No. 11 on uneven bars and floor exercise and No. 14 on the vault and floor.
• Individually, Kayli Boozer moved up one spot in the national rankings to No. 6 on the beam, while Carly Bauman ranks 15th on the beam and 17th on the floor. Boozer won her fifth straight beam title with her third 9.950 of the season, while Bauman won her second straight beam and floor titles with a 9.950 and a 9.900, respectively. For her efforts, Bauman was named the Big Ten Specialist of the Week on Tuesday (Feb. 10) for the second time this season.
• Bauman earned Big Ten Specialist of the Week honors after winning her second straight beam and floor titles at Ohio State. She shared the beam title with Boozer, scoring matching 9.950s, while Bauman won the floor title with a 9.900. She ranks 15th on the beam and 17th on the floor. The honor was the fifth of her career and second of the season.
• U-M earned the third-highest beam score in program history at Ohio State with a 49.600, featuring matching 9.950s from Boozer and Bauman, while freshman Quincy Walters scored a 9.925 and Ava Jordan notched a 9.900. Sophomore Jahzara Ranger rounded out the scoring with a 9.875. The Wolverine beam team is rolling deep this season as Audrey Sanger scored a 9.925 in the exhibition spot for the Maize and Blue.
• Boozer won her fifth straight beam title in as many weeks and has a total of eight beam titles in her career at Michigan. She earned a 9.950 at Ohio State for her third this season and scored a 9.900 against Michigan State after scoring back-to-back 9.950s at Sprouts and Minnesota and a 9.900 against Iowa. In total, Boozer has eight beam scores of 9.900 or better, notching four career 9.950s.
• Against MSU, U-M recorded its highest team score since 2023, posting a 197.425 against the Spartans, highlighted by season highs on vault and floor.
• Michigan had itself a floor party against the Spartans, putting together a season-high 49.550. The Wolverines were led by Bauman, who scored a career-best 9.975, while Walters scored a career-high 9.950 in the second spot of the lineup. Finally, Jahzara Ranger anchored with a 9.925 and Audrey Sanger tied a career-best 9.875.
• In week one of the season, Michigan broke the program beam record with a 49.650 at the Sprouts Farmers Collegiate Quad. The score eclipsed the previous program-best 49.625 set in the 2023 season. U-M put up back-to-back 9.950s behind collegiate debuts from Walters and Jordan. Boozer recorded Michigan's third 9.950 of the rotation before Bauman anchored with a 9.925.
• The Wolverines will return to Crisler Center on Saturday, Feb. 21, for a 3:45 p.m. meet against Rutgers that will celebrate 50 years of Michigan women's gymnastics. The meet will be streamed live on B1G+.
