
Michigan to Head to Sunshine State for Battles vs. No. 5 Florida, USF

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 17-ranked University of Michigan women's lacrosse team (0-1) heads to Gainesville to battle No. 5 Florida (0-0) at Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Friday (Feb. 13) at noon before concluding its road trip in Tampa against South Florida (1-0) at 1 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 15) at Corbett Stadium. Sunday's contest will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Notes
• The Wolverines rank No. 17 nationally and will take on their second ranked opponent this season in No. 5 Florida.
• Freshman Elizabeth Johnson was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Tuesday (Feb. 11) after stopping 15 shots against No. 25 Notre Dame in her collegiate debut. Her save total ranks fourth in program history in a single game. Johnson made eight saves, four in each quarter, in the first half and added two ground balls to her stat line.
• Graduate student Ava Class and senior Grace Callahan on Tuesday were named to the 2026 Tewaaraton Watch List. Callahan earns a spot on the list for the second straight season, while it is the first appearance for Class. Callahan ranks seventh all-time with 55 caused turnovers and eighth all-time with 85 ground balls. Class has 60 career points, with 45 goals and 15 assists.
• Senior Ceci Stein paced the Wolverines against Notre Dame with her three goals, while Caroline Byrd posted four points (one goal, three assists). Senior Calli Norris also had two goals and an assist while winning five draw controls in the season opener.
• Michigan will remain on the road when it travels to Atlanta, Ga., for a neutral-site contest against Boston College on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 3 p.m. at Harvey Stadium on the campus of Morehouse College.
