ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Riding a pair of top-10 wins last week, the second-ranked University of Michigan men's basketball team (20-1, 10-1 Big Ten) returns to a sold-out Crisler Center for its annual Pink Game as the Wolverines host Penn State (10-12, 1-10 Big Ten) on Thursday night (Feb. 5). Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m., and the game will be televised nationally on FS1, with Connor Onion and Bill Raftery on the call.
Notes
• Michigan's first week of February features a pair of return games, as U-M hosts Penn State on Thursday before heading to Columbus on Sunday (Feb. 8) for another battle with Ohio State at Value City Arena.
• Earlier in January, U-M built a 13-point second-half lead; however, the Wolverines had to hold off a late Penn State push to escape with a 74-72 road win. L.J. Cason came off the bench to tie his career high with 14 points (all in the first half), while Nimari Burnett and Trey McKenney added 12 apiece.
• Also in the first meeting, Penn State was without star freshman guard Kayden Mingo, who broke his nose in practice the day before. Mingo averages a team-best 14.1 points, along with 3.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
• U-M owns a 41-17 record against Penn State, including a 24-3 mark at Crisler Center, nut is 5-5 over the last 10 meetings. U-M has taken 10 of the last 11 games against Penn State at Crisler. The Nittany Lions' last win came Jan. 22, 2019 (72-63).
Michigan Notables
• Following the home loss to Wisconsin that snapped U-M's season-opening 14-game winning streak, U-M has six straight wins, highlighted by back-to-back top-10 victories.

• Michigan continues to build upon one of the most dominant seasons in program history, highlighted by 16 wins by 10+ points, 10 by 20+, eight by 30+, six by 40+ (a Big Ten record), and one by 50 or more (La Salle, 102-50, +52).
• Michigan's 20-1 start matches the best 21-game record in program history, equaling the 2013 (31-8; Final Four) and 2019 (30-7; Sweet 16) teams, both of which reached 20-1 before suffering their second loss.
