The Wolverines will be looking for their 28th conference title -- and first since the 2023 season. Notes
• Michigan will compete in the third session of the championships along with No. 5 UCLA, No. 11 Michigan State and No. 13 Minnesota starting at 5 p.m. CT.
• U-M will start on floor in the first rotation and move to vault in the second rotation. Michigan will then compete on the uneven bars in rotation three and end the meet on the beam.
• Michigan enters postseason competition ranked No. 10 nationally and sits among the top 15 in all four events: No. 5 on beam, No. 10 on floor, No. 13 on vault and No. 15 on uneven bars. Individually, Kayli Boozer ranks No. 10 nationally on beam.
• U-M is seeking its 28th Big Ten title -- the most in conference history. Minnesota (six) and Ohio State (five) are next on the list. Michigan also leads the league with 114 individual conference champions, including 96 event titles and 18 all-around crowns.
• Five Wolverines earned All-Big Ten recognition this week. Carly Bauman collected first-team honors for the third time in her career, while Jahzara Ranger earned first-team distinction for the first time. Boozer and sophomore Sophia Diaz each garnered second-team honors for the second straight season. Freshman Quincy Walters was named to the second team, the All-Freshman Team and received Michigan's Sportsmanship Award.
• Bauman was named one of seven finalists for the AAI Award, presented annually to the nation's top senior gymnast. Michigan has produced four AAI winners: Sierra Brooks (2023), Natalie Wojcik (2022), Kylee Botterman (2011) and Beth Wymer (1995). The Wolverines' most recent finalist prior to Bauman was Gabby Wilson in 2024.
• Michigan posted a season-high 49.600 on floor against Oklahoma and Eastern Michigan, highlighted by five scores of 9.900 or better. Bauman led the way with a 9.950, while Diaz and Ranger each scored 9.925. Peyton Davis and Walters added 9.900s. The Wolverines also recorded a season-best 49.475 on vault in that meet. Reyna Guggino capped her home career with a 9.950 and a stuck landing, while Audrey Sanger made her vault debut with a 9.850 and later posted a career-best 9.875 on uneven bars in the anchor spot.
• In the season opener, Michigan set a program record on beam with a 49.650 at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad, surpassing the previous mark of 49.625 set in 2023. The rotation featured back-to-back 9.950s from Walters and Ava Jordan, followed by a 9.950 from Boozer and a 9.925 anchor from Bauman.
• Michigan will learn its NCAA Regional location on Monday (March 23) at noon on ESPNU.
