Notes
• Following Sunday's game, the Wolverines will celebrate Senior Day as well as their capturing the 2026 Big Ten championship.
• Michigan closes the regular season amid a demanding 11-game, 38-day stretch that featured seven road contests, five matchups against top-10 opponents and a neutral-site showdown with Duke in Washington, D.C.
• Michigan has won 14 straight Big Ten games, marking the third time in program history the Wolverines have posted a double-digit conference win streak.
• Michigan leads 105-92 in the all-time series with Michigan State. The Wolverines snapped a four-game losing streak with an 83-71 victory at the Breslin Center in January. U-M holds a 65-33 record in Ann Arbor, but the Wolverines have dropped their last two meetings at Crisler Center: 2024 (73-63) and 2025 (75-62).
• Michigan and Michigan State have met 19 times when both teams were ranked, with the Wolverines trailing 12-7 in those matchups. U-M and MSU meet for the sixth time, and second this season, as top-10 teams.
• No. 3 Michigan defeated No. 7 Michigan State 83-71 at the Breslin Center (Jan. 30), leading for nearly 37 minutes. Yaxel Lendeborg recorded 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Elliot Cadeau hit a late three-pointer to help seal U-M's first road victory in East Lansing since 2018.
• The win at MSU marked U-M's first road victory over an AP top-10 team since 2021, when the Wolverines defeated No. 4 Ohio State 92-87 in Columbus. The win also gave U-M back-to-back victories over top-10 opponents for the first time since the 2020-21 season. Earlier that week, U-M rallied to defeat No. 5 Nebraska, 75-72.
• With a 28-2 record, Michigan has continued to have one of the most dominant seasons in program history, posting 23 wins by 10+ points, 13 by 20+, 10 by 30+, seven by 40+ (Big Ten record), and one by 50+.
• Michigan set the program record with 18 Big Ten wins, surpassing the previous mark of 16 set in 1984-85 (16-2) and 1976-77 (16-2).
• Michigan went 10-0 in Big Ten road games, becoming just the second team, and the first in 50 years, to finish conference road play unbeaten, joining Indiana's 9-0 mark during its perfect 1975-76 season.
• At 18-1 in Big Ten play, Michigan tied the conference record for most league wins in a season. Indiana holds the mark with 18-0 records in back-to-back seasons (1974-75 and 1975-76).
