Notes
• Michigan will make its 10th consecutive NCAA Tournament bid and 35th overall. The Wolverines reached the Elite Eight in 2022 and 2023 and the Sweet 16 in 2008 and 2018.
• The Wolverines are 13-10 on the season, most recently suffering a 4-2 setback to Nebraska in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan ended the regular season on a six-match win streak, going 6-1 during the month of April.
• Max Dahlin made Big Ten history last week, capturing the Big Ten Player and Freshman of the Year awards. He was also a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten selection and a member of the All-Freshman Team. Dahlin went 11-0 in the Big Ten and is 19-1 at No. 1 singles and 28-3 overall. He is 13-2 when playing ranked opponents and has yet to lose a tiebreak with a perfect 10-0 mark.
• Dahlin enters the weekend with the nation's longest active win streak of 17 straight singles wins, dating back to Feb. 1.
• Bjorn Swenson earned second-team All-Big Ten honors after posting a 7-1 singles record against conference opponents. He is on a six-match singles win streak and is 19-7 in singles overall.
• Two Wolverines are ranked in singles: Dahlin (No. 8) and Swenson (51). Dahlin and Swenson are ranked No. 25 as a doubles pair after reaching the NCAA Doubles Championship quarterfinals in the fall. Dahlin has been paired with Pierce Shaya this spring and the duo is ranked No. 88.
• Pepperdine enters the tournament with a 17-9 overall record and sits just outside the top 25 at No. 27. The Waves do not have any ranked singles or doubles players. Lasse Poertner and Edward Winter were both named first-team All-West Coast Conference. Pepperdine makes its 40th NCAA Tournament appearance and sixth straight.
• Pepperdine leads the all-time series with Michigan 8-1 -- with the last meeting coming in 2013. Michigan's win came in the teams' only NCAA Tournament meeting, a 5-3 decision in the 1988 Elite Eight.
• The Wolverines are 7-2 when they win the doubles point and have the best mark at the No. 1 position, going 10-5 this spring.
• Michigan is 11-2 when playing teams outside of the top 25.
