
Maize and Blue Set for NCAA Outdoor Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will close out its 2026 season on Thursday and Saturday (June 11-13) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships hosted by Oregon at Hayward Field in Eugene. The NCAA Championships will be broadcast live on the ESPN family of networks.
Notes
• Four Wolverines will represent the Maize and Blue in three individual events: Sidney Green (400-meter hurdles), Amare Harlan (long jump), and Elizabeth Tapper and Abigail Russell (shot put).
• Harlan will make her NCAA Outdoor Championships debut, while Tapper and Russell made their NCAA Outdoor Championships debut last season, finishing 14th (16.97 meters/55 feet, 8.25 inches) and 21st (16.38m/53-9), respectively.
• Green ran in the 4x400-meter relay with Payton Smith, Savannah Sutherland and Noelani Phillips. The squad finished 19th with a time of 3:33.75.
• At the NCAA East First Round, Harlan tied a personal best of 6.37m (20-10.75) in the long jump to finish sixth.
• Green set a new personal-best time of 55.86 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles, the No. 2 time on the program performers list, to finish ninth and qualify for NCAAs on time.
• Russell threw a personal-best 17.34m (56-10.75), the No. 2 mark on the program performers list, to finish seventh, while Tapper placed 12th with a mark of 16.82m (55-2.25).
• Action at Hayward Field will begin on Thursday (June 11) with the long jump at 6:40 p.m. PT.
