• Made his first career start against Oklahoma (Feb. 20) and struck out five batters while scattering three hits in 4.2 innings
• Started and threw 3.0 innings of one-hit baseball with two strikeouts before a lengthy rain delay chased him in a win at FIU (Feb. 27)
• Struck out eight batters in 4.0 innings of work to earn the win at Louisville (March 13)
• Struck out a career-high 13 batters against just three hits, one walk and one run to defeat Dayton (March 18) to be named the Big Ten Conference's Pitcher of the Week.
• Threw 7.0 scoreless innings while striking out eight batters and scattering four hits in a 2-0 win over Iowa (April 3)
• Threw 7.1 innings against Cal State Fullerton, allowing one run on seven hits while striking out four batters (April 8)
• Earned a win by striking out eight batters and allowing five hits and two runs in 5.2 innings in an 18-6 win at Michigan State on April 15.
• Struck out eight batters in 5.1 innings of an 8-4 win vs. Indiana (May 6)
• Earned the win in the B1G Tournament semifinal game vs. Iowa (May 29) with 4.0 innings in which he didn't allow an earned run while striking out two batters.
• Moved into 10th place on the single-season strikeout list with six Ks in 5.2 innings of work in an NCAA victory against Oregon (June 3)
