MAIAW is the Midwest Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (pre-NCAA)
The first officially sanctioned Big Ten competition was in 1982. The Big Ten Championships was 54-hole medal play (1981-84 and 2012-present) and 72-hole medal play (1985-2011).
#Â On March 12, 2020, the Big Ten Conference canceled all remaining winter and spring sports schedules, and the NCAA announced the cancellation of all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
