Five Wolverines Invited to U.S. Field Hockey A Camp

Senior goalkeeper Maureen Tasch (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer HS), junior forward Molly Powers (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest HS), sophomore goalkeeper Molly Maloney (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest HS), freshman midfielder Katy Moyneur (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual HS) and redshirt freshman forward Jen Zangara (Toledo, Ohio/Ottawa Hills HS) earned their invitations to the camp based on their performances at the USFHA B Camp in July. They will compete with 79 of the nation's top collegiate and high school players for spots on the 2002 U.S. Under-23 and Under-19 teams.
A number of current and former Michigan players and coaches are currently playing for one of the three USFHA elite teams. Sophomore forward April Fronzoni (Larksville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West HS), sophomore defender Kristi Gannon (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual HS), former player Kelli Gannon (1997-2001), volunteer coach Tracey Fuchs and former assistant Peggy Storrar are competing with the National Team.
