Wolverines Have Big Ten Tourney Opener Postponed

The game has been rescheduled for Thursday at approximately 12:05 p.m., following the completion of the Illinois-Purdue contest. Illinois led Purdue 4-1 in the top of the fifth inning when that game was suspended, and it will be continued at 10 a.m. Thursday.
The loser of the Michigan-OSU game plays at 3:35 p.m. vs. the loser of the Illinois-Purdue game, while the Michigan-OSU winner will plays its second game later on Thursday, facing Penn State at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday. Penn State dropped a 4-2 decision to Minnesota in the only game completed Wednesday.
The All-Big Ten baseball team was announced prior to the start of first-round action of the tournament, and Michigan sophomore 3B Brock Koman (Pueblo, Colo./South HS) and junior RHP Bobby Korecky (Saline, Mich./Saline HS) were named to the All-Big Ten Second Team. Koman leads the Wolverines in hitting (.376), home runs (12) and runs batted in (53), while Korecky tops the squad in wins (6-3) and owns a 3.17 earned run average.
