Snow and dropping temperatures caused the Michigan-Western Michigan baseball game scheduled for Wednesday (March 27) at Ray Fisher Stadium to be postponed Tuesday night. There has been no makeup date set.
The "weather-out" is the second in a row this season for the Wolverines, following Sunday's (March 24) weekend finale at Kansas.
Michigan (3-12) is scheduled to open the Big Ten Conference season by hosting Iowa this weekend (March 29-31). The Wolverines will play nine-inning single games vs. the Hawkeyes on Friday (March 29, 3 p.m.) and Sunday (March 31, 1 p.m.), with a doubleheader (pair of seven-inning games) on Saturday (March 30, 1 p.m.).
Senior RHP Bobby Korecky (Saline, Mich./Saline HS) is expected to pitch the opener of the series vs. Iowa. Korecky is 1-2 with a 7.28 ERA.
