On the team's performance ... "It reminds me back to that 2001-02 year when we were on a roll. Every single weekend we won a tournament. But we never got the scores from the players that year like this past weekend. We never got those kinds of scores on our home course. This group has the ability to win and they have a bond that I can't remember seeing from any of my other teams. They root for one another, they know what is expected of one another, and they push one another to be successful. And it's the entire team - it's not just the top six. If it wasn't for my younger players pushing the rest, the team wouldn't be as good as it is."
On playing at home ... "We needed to send a message to the Big Ten teams playing at our home course and we did. The Buckeyes haven't lost to a Big Ten team in a long time. They've won the Big Ten the last two or three years in a row. That is our goal without a question -- to win a Big Ten Championship."
On Big Ten competition ... "It's not just going to be Ohio State. It's going to be a dogfight come the spring. There is no question about it that the Big Ten has some really great schools with some great individual players. We just want to compete, win and have fun doing it."
On the home course advantage ... "We do have a lot of course knowledge. But at the same time, we came out won and we held it through until the end. When we started to slip just a little bit we regrouped and got the job done. I am really excited for this team this year because it shows that they do have the potential to win. Not only do they have the potential, but they are actually achieving their goals. It is just going to be great to celebrate with this team."
Senior Laura Olin
On getting and keeping the lead ... "I think the best thing about winning this tournament was the fact that we stayed in the lead and were able to come out today and capitalize. Everybody played well and came together. I knew at the tournament -- we were about eight up on Ohio State -- and I though to myself, 'just one hole at a time.' I just tried to worry about myself and try not to worry about what the whole team was doing."
On coming out on top against the Big Ten teams ... "That's the whole mind boggling thing about it is that we beat all the Big Ten teams. Plus four other top teams from around the country. That's just unbelievable. That will give our team the type of confidence we need to go to the next level. We were such a young team last year, we just all wouldn't play well on the same day. It was all in us, but now it all came together and we played well and hopefully we can continue."
Junior Amy Schmucker
On having the lead going into today ... "One of the hardest things in golf is to start off and the lead and sustain it. Being the front runner, everyone is after you right away. So it's tough. For a team or individual to start off on top and stay there is so hard in this sport and that just shows our work ethic and how we were there mentally."
On the home-course advantage ... "Well, our home course advantage is important because we know it so well. But our team has a lot of depth and a lot to fall back on. Our sixth girl came in today with a 72. You look at the scoreboard and you probably won't see that with a lot of teams. Honestly, home course advantage helps, but we have the team and have good players."
On building confidence from this tournament ... "We definitely have a lot more confidence in our ability and how we see ourselves ending tournaments. We really see ourselves as players who can grind it out to the last hole and finish strong. Last night we were in the lead, and we had a big team talk that we were going to stay on top, and we did that. We rallied back and said this is our course, no one knows it as well as we do and let them make the mistakes."
