Michigan Head Coach Cheryl Burnett
On tonight's game ... "We scheduled this game to present our team with a challenge. We knew coming in that Duke is one of the top teams in the country, and we prepared to win and we played to win. It was a great game to play because all we had to do was come out and try to compete and try to do the things we know we needed to do to beat some great teams. We started slow tonight and didn't execute early. We gave them way too many opportunities off of our turnovers. Our goal was to handle the different things that Duke threw at us. There are a lot of things that this game will show us that we need to work on. We look at it now as a positive. It doesn't feel real good, with the difference in scoring. Duke is the kind of team that is going to isolate any mistake you make defensively. We'd have one player not laterally rotate, and Duke would isolate that. We knew they could pass the basketball extremely well. It showed us the many things we need to work on."
