Hausmann Wins CWPA Western Division Weekly Honor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- After first setting a career high in points against Hartwick and following that up with a program-record eight steals against Harvard, Megan Hausmann (San Diego, Calif./Bishop's) of the University of Michigan women's water polo team was selected as the CWPA Western Division Player of the Week for the week of April 3-9.

The senior captain collected a team-best 17 points in three games at the Brown Mini (April 8-9). Her nine goals and eight assists also helped extend her scoring streak to six games.
In Michigan's opening contest against Hartwick (April 8), Hausmann scored three times and dished out four assists for a career-high seven points while also forcing three steals in the 16-14 loss. The seven points pushed her over 200 for her career.
Hausmann continued her hot streak in the second game of the day against Harvard as she scored three times for her sixth hat trick of the season in a 12-9 victory. Her eight steals also broke the program record. The previous record was six held by four different Wolverines.
On Sunday (April 9) against Brown, Hausmann tallied five points on two goals and three assists in a 14-9 overtime triumph. She also forced three steals.
This is Hausmann's first career CWPA Weekly Award and her second career conference award. She garnered All-Western Division first team honors last season.
