Carron Nabs Pair of Soccer Buzz Accolades

ANN ARBOR, Mich -- First-year defender Jackie Carron(Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester) of the University of Michigan women's soccer team has been named to the Soccer Buzz All-Great Lakes third team as well as the region's All-Freshmen team the publication announced Friday (Dec. 21).
Carron started all 18 games on defense for the Wolverines, providing a strong presence on the backline. Her contributions helped lead a Michigan defense that allowed just 21 goals the entire season. She also posted 16 shots in her rookie campaign. The Big Ten conference previously recognized Carron, naming her to its All-Freshman squad (Nov. 7).
The Soccer Buzz Awards are based on a nomination process open to all NCAA Division I coaches and balloting results of a voting panel of selected Division I head coaches and Soccer Buzz staff.
