Monday and Tuesday, August 17-18 -- Nine of the 10 players on the Wolverine roster competed at the 2009 GAM Women's Championship at the Battle Creek Country Club in Battle Creek, Mich. Overall, Ashley Bauer was top top Maize and Blue finisher tying for sixth with a 146 total (73-73). Other Wolverines results include: Meagan Bauer (79-74) and Brooke Bettis (75-78) tied for 15th at 153; Louisa Shu (79-75) and Andrea Ratigan (77-77) tied for 21st at 154; Shana Bauer tied for 26th at 156 (78-78); Katelin Davis (83-76) and Caramia Sitompul (80-79) tied for 32nd at 159 and Jenn Cleary (79-85) tied for 43rd at 163. Monday and Tuesday, August 10-11 -- Three Maize and Blue players among the field at the First Federal Bank Ohio Womens Open held at the Kettenring Country Club in Defiance, Ohio. Former Wolverine LeAnna Wicks used rounds of 74 and 72 to close with a 146 total and finish third individually. Current players Brooke Bettis' 153 total (77-76) earned her a tie for 14th while Katelin Davis -- fresh off a return from her overseas trip to Africa -- tied for 41st at 163 (81-82). [Results]
Monday-Wednesday, August 3-5 -- Plenty of Wolverines among the field at the Michigan PGA Women's Open at the Crystal Mountain Resort in Crystal Mountain, Mich. Leading the way was a pair of former Wolverines Elaine Crosby (70-76-75) and LeAnna Wicks (72-74-75), who tied for ninth with 221 totals. Former Wolverine Misia Lemanski tied for 27th at 228 (78-76-74) while current Wolverines Louisa Shu tied for 53rd at 234 (74-81-79) and Jenn Cleary tied for 69th at 242 (75-85-82). Monday-Tuesday, August 3-4 -- After opening with a 78 in the first round of the U.S. Women's Amateur Championships at the Old Warson Country Club in St. Louis, Mo., Ashley Bauer followed with a 74 to finish with a 152 qualifying total. Tuesday, July 21 -- Ashley Bauer used a 74 at her Westfield, Ind., U.S. Women's Amateur Championship qualifier to tie for fourth and advance to the U.S. Women's Am field. Andrea Ratigan was also at the qualifier -- played at the Wood Wind Golf Club -- and shot a 75 and just missing the final qualifier spot in a playoff. She will be an alternate. Tuesday-Friday, July 14-17 -- Meagan Bauer closed as the top finishing Wolverine advancing to the Elite Eight at the 93rd Michigan Women's Amateur Championship at the Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester, Mich. Earning the seventh-seed and winning her opening match 5-and-3 against 26th-seed Sarah Hoffman, she followed with a 1-up win over 23rd-seed Bree Baumgartner to reach the Elite Eight. However, Bauer was eliminated by second-seeded Christine Meier, 4-and-3 in the quarterfinal. Other Wolverine match play records included: 15th-seed Louisa Shu, who defeated 18th-seed Joan Garety 1-up before being eliminated by Meier 2-and-1 in the second round. Earning the 19th-seed, Andrea Ratigan upset 14th-seed Ashley Swanson, 2-and-1, in the first round before dropping her second round match 2-and-1 to third-seeded Britney Hamilton. In stroke play, Bauer led the way tying for seventh (79-79/158), while Shu was 15th (79-82/161) and Ratigan tied for 18th (85-78/163). Other U-M stroke play scores included: Jenn Cleary, who tied for 36th (82-88/170) and incoming Wolverine Shana Bauer, who was 40th (83-88/171). [Women's Am|Stroke Play|Match Play Tree]
Wednesday, June 10 -- Brooke Bettis, Jenn Cleary and Louisa Shu are among the field that will play in the GAM Women's Championship at the Battle Creek Golf Club in Battle Creek, Mich., Aug. 17-18. Additional U-M players could be added later. [ Site ]

Monday, May 18 -- Former Wolverine LeAnna Wicks tied for fourth (75) and Lydia Benitez Colon tied for 11th (78) at their local qualifier for the U.S. Women's Open at Walnut Hills Country Club in East Lansing, Mich. They will move on to the sectional qualifier at the Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Ill., on Monday, June 15. Also playing at Walnut Hills was Ashley Bauer, who shot a 78 and is the first alternate. [ Results ]
