Freshman OF Patrick Biondi led off the game with his second homer of the season. He has scored leading off U-M's first inning four games in a row and 15 times in U-M's 33 games in 2010.
Biondi became the first Wolverine to lead off a game with a home run since Gino Lollio left the yard against Penn State on April 27, 2003.
Junior OF Ryan LaMarre was 2-for-4, extending his career-best hitting streak to 14 games, which includes the final three games of 2009 and all 11 of his starts this season.
LaMarre, who had three three-hit games against Purdue last weekend, has five multi-hit games in his five Big Ten starts this season.
Senior C Chris Berset was 2-for-4, extending his career-best hitting streak to a team-best 18 games. The last 18-game streak by a Wolverine catcher was by Jake Fox in 2003.
Berset, who has 12 multi-hit games in his 18-game hit streak, leads the team with 20 multi-hit games this season and has 43 in his U-M career.
