
McCallister Selected to NFHCA All-America Second Team

CHANDLER, Ariz. -- University of Michigan fifth-year senior Ainsley McCallister was named to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I All-America second team, the NFHCA announced today (Monday, Dec. 1). It is McCallister's first career All-America honor.
Michigan has had an All-American on its roster in 17 of the last 18 years, with 20 Wolverines combining for a total of 33 citations.
A two-time All-Big Ten and All-NFHCA West Region first team selection (2013, '14), McCallister posted six goals, 18 assists and 30 this season, matching or bettering her career bests in all major statistical categories. She scored five goals in the Wolverines' four games and doubled her previous career high in assists, ranking second in the Big Ten with .90 assists per game.
McCallister appeared in 71 Wolverine games over her five collegiate seasons and made 62 starts in the midfield. She compiled 15 career goals, 35 assists and 65 points. She wrapped her career ranking fourth among U-M's all-time assists leaders. Her 18 assists this season ranks seventh among the Wolverines' single-season leaders.
Over McCallister's career at Michigan, the Wolverines posted a 70-36 record, captured back-to-back Big Ten titles (2010, '11), won the 2010 Big Ten Tournament title, and made three straight NCAA Tournament appearances (2010-12).
