ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Sophomore goalkeeper Sam Swenson of the University of Michigan field hockey team was named Big Ten Conference Defensive Player of the Week in response to her play in the Wolverines' weekend sweep, the league office announced Tuesday (Oct. 20).
