Michigan won its sixth game in a row for the longest winning streak for the Wolverines since April 2-16, 2013, when Michigan enjoyed a 10-game streak.
Junior Jacob Cronenworth mashed his fifth career home run. Cronenworth also has 78 career runs batted in.
Junior Cody Bruder tied a career high with three hits. Bruder also had three hits against Tennessee Tech on Feb. 20.
U-M is hitting .292 as a team, which leads the Big Ten.
Michigan now has 10 or more hits in seven of the 13 games this season after a 10-hit output against UMBC.
Freshman Ryan Nutof established a career high with seven innings pitched. Nutof struck out a pair and allowed five hits and a run.
This was the first meeting between Michigan and UMBC.
