» Katelynn Flaherty was 6-for-6 from the floor in the second half to finish with 17 points. Her three three-pointers on the evening moved her career total to 201 as she became the third Wolverine to top the 200 plateau.
» Siera Thompson finished with four assists, moving her into third place on the school's career assists list with 403. She is only the second Wolverine in school history with 400 assists and 1,000 points.

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team recovered from a slow start and outscored Winthrop 58-26 over the final three quarters to collect its second victory of the Paradise Jam, 76-39 over Winthrop, on Friday evening (Nov. 25) at the University of the Virgin Islands Sport and Recreation Center.
Junior Katelynn Flaherty was held to just two points in the first half before exploding for 15 points on 6-for-6 shooting in just eight second-half minutes. Sophomore Hallie Thome went for 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in 25 minutes, with classmate Nicole Munger scoring 11 points with three boards. Michigan shot 51.7 percent from the floor (31-for-60) and 52.6 percent (10-for-19) from three-point range.
The Maize and Blue came out of the halftime gates on fire, hitting five of six shots to take a 49-23 lead. U-M got three straight triples from Flaherty, senior Siera Thompson and senior Danielle Williams to go with a pull-up jumper from freshman Kysre Gondrezick for an 11-0 spurt to put U-M on top 51-23. Michigan was 9-for-11 from the floor in the third quarter and headed to the final period with a 57-30 lead.
Michigan led by as many as 40 points in the fourth quarter as every player who saw the floor played at least five minutes. Gondrezick finished with nine points, two rebounds and two assists, while sophomore Boogie Brozoski turned in eight points, four assists and three steals. Michigan's bench accounted for 35 points in the win.
Michigan doubled up the Eagles at the half as a Flaherty dish to Thome with 10 seconds remaining sent U-M to the locker room with a 34-17 lead. U-M held Winthrop scoreless for the first 6:30 of the second quarter and gave up just four points in the second stanza.
Michigan will conclude the tournament against No. 10 Florida State tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 26). Tip is set for 9 p.m. Atlantic Time (8 p.m. EST).
