
Ritner Named MVP of Junior Olympics

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- University of Michigan water polo incoming freshman goalkeeper Heidi Ritner was named MVP of the USA Water Polo National Junior Olympics on Sunday (July 31).
Ritner led the SOCAL Water Polo Foundation to a championship victory, holding her opponents to six goals in a 13-6 first-place victory. Ritner's team went undefeated in seven games on the weekend in the 18U Girls division. Her team outscored opponents 91-36 in the seven games as she was terrific in the cage.

Ritner is one of six signees coming to Michigan this fall and is also a goalkeeper on the USA Youth National Team, coached by Dr. Marcelo Leonardi.
