
Van Dievoet Grabs First-Day Lead at Golfweek Conference Challenge

» The University of Michigan women's golf team opened the Golfweek Conference Challenge with a 290 total and is tied for second, just a shot back of the lead.
» Elodie Van Dievoet's blistering start -- birdies on five of her first six holes -- paced her to the tournament lead as she carded a 69 (-3), the eighth sub-70 round of her career.
» After playing four-under through her first 10 holes, Ashley Kim closed even par (72) in her opening 18 holes and is tied for 13th.
» U-M played the first nine holes 10 under par, recording 14 birdies before making the turn. Overall, the Wolverines made 19 total birdies in the opening round.
» Michigan will play the second round with first-day leader San Diego State (289) and Pepperdine (290).
